This a design I did for my own CD. The cover is a detail from one of the Master of None paintings I did.

Bill came to me with an actual nervewheel, wanting it to figure prominantly in the design of his cover. I'll tell you what, that thing is sharp...

Endless Records approached me with a bunch of wonderful sketches done by an artist named Peregrine Honig, and told me to do whatever I wanted with them. So, I took the elements I liked best from several of the drawings and laid them out in the colors and proportions I wanted. The label liked it, Ms. Honig approved, and the band was happy.

This project was fun. The band was familiar with my work, and wanted something minimal. I had fun trying to make each element count.

When Tangy recorded their second album, they came back for another design. They were looking for something more ragged, and this was what I came up with.

These guys are from Madison, WI. This one taught me a lot about making sure I know what the client is looking for. I did the entire layout, and they veto'd it. What you see here is take 2, based on a mixed media oil painting of mine.

When Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans, the musical community at Microsoft rallied inside of a week to produce, press and sell this CD. 100% of the funds raised were donated to relief efforts in the Gulf.

Each year, groups around Microsoft participate in various fund-raising activities as part of the comapny's Annual Giving Campaign. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to come up with a design for this year's compilation of music by Microsoft employees, proceeds from the sale of which will be matched by Microsoft and donated to The National Association for Music Education.

This job was a challenge, as the deadline was very tight. Tollak contacted me from Los Angeles, and said he needed artwork by the end of the week, as he was moving to Europe and wanted to have the discs ready to go. We went back and forth a couple of times about details, and in the end, it got done.
